Configuring the software for TV
Use the following steps to configure the Media Center software before viewing TV:

Turn on the PC and all TV equipment that use the same TV signal as the PC. This includes set-top boxes, satellite receivers, and VCRs.
Press the green button on the remote control or double-click the Media Center icon on the desktop to open the Media Center software.
Click Settings.
Click TV, and then select Set Up TV Signal. Click Next to continue.
Confirm your region by selecting Yes, use this region to configure TV services, and then click Next.
Select Configure my TV signal automatically and then click Next.
Media Center scans for an active TV signal and configures the appropriate settings automatically.
If Media Center correctly identifies the signal and the picture looks correct, you are finished with these steps. Otherwise, to configure the TV signal manually, select I will manually configure my TV signal, and click Next.
Select Cable or digital cable, Satellite, or Antenna, and then click Next.
If you selected Cable, select Yes or No to indicate whether your system uses a set-top box and then click Next.
Follow the remaining onscreen instructions to select a working TV signal and configure the settings.
Click Finish.
Use My TV to view TV. Contact your television program provider for more information about the settings for your set-top box or satellite receiver.
